Gigashader Test


Finally had a moment to have a proper look at Paul Everetts new Gigashader plugin, wow what an awesome set of tools. little info on the tool set,

First you can get SRTM data, or DEM and other types, drop them into a matching shader, wich you then link up to drive displacement, via the displacer, in the shader it'll work out the longitude and latitude for the tile your using, which you can then use to drive the Tile shader in the color channel, and it'll perfectly match the color images to the relief, very clever. there's also a bunch of tools for zooming in moving about, and even placing buildings and instances, that will always be in there perfect place, even if you move about.
Ill get a tute for it up hopefully this weekend.
